Teacup Stained Glass Suncatcher coffee cup mug 018

This is a stained glass Teacup suncatcher made using the Tiffany copper foil technique. It is a teacup, or if you prefer, a cup for your coffee or Hot Chocolate, standing on a saucer. A design I made as a special gift for my friend who has a tearoom (Lady Foleys) on Great Malvern Station. It hangs in the window there. This one is made from shades of bright blue and turquoise and is decorated in the middle of the cup with 4 glass dichroic topped nuggets fused in my kiln in matching colours. For the top of the cup I have used textured streaky creamy glass .perfect topping for a cappucino. The teacup is 12 cm x 10 cm and hangs from a little silvery chain which is securely attached to either side of the cup. It looks super hanging in the window where it catches the light and would make a lovely and very unique present. This item is absolutely unique. I never make two pieces exactly the same, I always use slightly different colours and textures of glass for each piece even when making the same pattern.
