Handwoven One-of-a-Kind Scarf in Lilac, Pink, Purple & Green

This scarf grew from my basket of treasured handspun leftovers - those beautiful yarns that are too lovely to waste. Rather than sitting unused, they have been woven together into a completely unique textile full of colour, texture and personality. The centre of the scarf features a succession of handspun yarns in soft lilacs, pinks, purples and greens, each bringing its own texture and character to the fabric. Some contain Bluefaced Leicester wool and silk, others Merino and Tussah silk, alongside small quantities of Rambouillet and other handspun blends collected from previous spinning projects. The result is a wonderfully organic mix of colours that changes as the eye travels along the scarf. The beginning and end of the scarf are finished with broad bands of green wool, while additional stripes of brown, green and coral provide gentle structure and contrast throughout the weave. No planning, no repeats-just an enjoyable exploration of colour and texture that can never be duplicated.
