Multicoloured Star-shaped Lap Blanket that is 116 cm (45.5 inches) across from point to point. Weight approx. 500g (1.1lbs). Machine washable at 30C, although hand-washing and dry flat is recommended to ensure the life of your handmade garment. A 12-pointed star blanket with a wavy, zig-zag outer border. The pattern creates a radiating chevron or ripple pattern that expands outward from a central point. The centre begins with a solid grey textured circle. Moving outward, the blanket is divided into segmented blocks resembling a colour wheel. Each segment represents 1 month of the year and each row records 1 day. All segments need to be 31 rows so for shorter months, like February, two/three rows of grey are added to match the length of the first segment (January) and then 1 grey row for all other months with 30 days in. The colours are decided by the highest temperature at 12pm each day for the UK average. The top sections transition through various shades of blue and deep green, while the bottom sections feature bright yellows, lime greens, and oranges. The entire piece is finished with a bold, uniform crimson red border around the jagged edge.
