Quirky and colourful, this original mixed-media artwork is a joyful collection of little treasures from around the world. It would make a unique gift for someone who loves travel, unusual objects and eclectic interiors – or simply add a pop of personality to your own home. The eclectic collection is displayed inside a sturdy, freestanding wooden compartment box. I've used a palette of pretty blues, pale green and warm russet, adding paint and decorative papers to the backgrounds to create a relaxed boho-inspired feel. The display includes items from across the globe: A goddess charm from Mykonos in Greece, carved Yak bone fish from Nepal, a painted wooden bird from India, pressed glass beads from the Czech Republic, a small Buddha amulet from Thailand, bone beads from Africa and a Chinese figurine of a monkey on a horse. I've also incorporated beads and jewellery findings and made a couple of painted clay tiles.
