Robins have always felt like small messengers of warmth, especially in the colder months, and that sense of gentle presence is what inspired this piece. I love the way their bright chest and soft round shape translate into stained glass, catching the light in a way that feels both cheerful and comforting. When I cut the glass for each robin, I choose pieces with tiny variations and textures that remind me of feathers and winter sunlight.
The wing is my favourite part to make. When the glass is held up to the light, it glows with a warm, welcoming tone, and that is what made me want to create a robin that could sit on a Christmas tree or in a window all year round. Each one is crafted using the Tiffany foiled glass method, a slow and mindful process that lets every curve and colour come together with care. The finished robin feels like a small companion for the home, carrying a little brightness wherever it hangs.
Safety information
This item is glass and therefore breakable. Please handle with care and secure the item to a fixed point. All edges have been ground to remove sharpness. Consider how you display the glass and that it is in a safe location away from wagging dog tails or small hands! Lead solder has been used but this is very low risk. However, I always wash my hands after handling to reduce the risk to zero.

Full description
This listing is for one stained glass round robin, hand cut and crafted with care. The finished piece, including the hook, measures around 9 cm in height and 8.5 cm in width. The glass catches the light beautifully, especially through the warm tones of the wing.
I have one of these robins on my own Christmas tree each year and he looks wonderful with the fairy lights shining through him. He also works well as a small window decoration, a cheerful ornament for a shelf, or a year round token of love and remembrance.
Each robin is made using the traditional Tiffany foiled glass method. Every piece of glass is edged with copper foil, soldered, cleaned and sometimes finished with patina. Craft glass naturally contains tiny variations and textures, making every robin completely unique. The photographs show the colours as faithfully as possible.
Please ensure that you place (and secure) your glass in a safe location; if the piece falls it is likely to break. The item is not a toy.
