To me, lace brings nostalgia and elegance. This piece is an experiment of how to use the patterns in the fabric to shape the final picture. I love that by adding colour the patterns in the lace stand out, producing a striking result.

A delightful piece that evokes a sense of nostalgia. Using lace as the subject, it is painted with soft purples, dusky pinks and greens to bring the lace patterns to life.
This piece is mounted in an open fronted white frame so that the textures are seen and is ready to hang on the wall or be placed on a table top.
It measures 20 x 25 cm.
