Upcycled sixpence coin pendant pierced with a shamrock

A sixpence from 1922, measuring approximately 2cms across. Pierced with a four leaf clover (or shamrock) with a fine-bladed jewellers saw. Comes with the sterling silver chain included in the price, 16 or 18inch, please specify when ordering. Despatched in a presentation box via the Royal Mail Tracked 48 service in the UK. Care guide enclosed. FYI - The silver sixpence at this time was 50% silver, 50% nickel. It's over a century old so it is obviously worn with plenty of use, though the 22 of the date is still visible. The term "shamrock," comes from the Irish word, seamrog, which translates as "little clover." There are many kinds of clovers and similar plants, for St.Patrick's Day celebrations lots of different plants can be an Irish shamrock. However, whether a shamrock can have 4 leaves or whether it can only have 3 seems to be a bone of contention! For the purposes of my description, I like the shamrock idea, so let's call it poetic licence and call them that. Upcycled and pierced in Lancashire
