Full description
I have hand carved this little greenshank from jelutong. It has been sanded, primed and then painted with artists acrylics. It has hand coloured glass eyes and is mounted on an ash block. I have given it a coat of wax to give a soft shine. It is 27cm from beak to tail, 6cm deep and 24 cm tall. I don't paint with feather perfect detail but always hope to catch the character of the bird.
