About this item
A mini-bookmark which will work in either a normal sized book, or a smaller prayer book or the like. It would make a useful teacher gift or a thoughtful 'thank-you' token for a book loving friend. It's compact and slim, easily fitting inside a card. Please note that it is smaller in size than many bookmarks, measuring 9.8cms (3.85ins) length from point to point, and 2.2cms (0.9in) wide. The bookmark is beadwoven, made from glass delica seed beads which have been stitched together. The pattern is double sided so that it looks the same on both sides. The design is my own: three white cats - an adult with its back to you and two cheeky little kittens on a black background with a gold border. I have not stiffened the beadwork at all, so the bookmark is fairly flexible. Please note that, as the beads are glass they will break if crushed, so should be kept away from small children and situations where this might happen. WHEN YOU BUY THIS ITEM £2 WILL BE DONATED TO TOYBOX, A CHARITY HELPING STREET CHILDREN ACROSS THE GLOBE. This amount is calculated by subtracting materials and admin costs from the price of the item. I do not charge for my time in making it.

Profits will be donated to Toybox, a charity that works with street children across the globe to give them a better quality of life. The amount donated will be stated on the item. I started raising money for Toybox on 25th August 2023, and to date £424.03 has been raised by my lovely Folksy customers, £424.03 of which was transferred to Toybox between 20/11/23 and 08/05/26. A message from Toybox: Please pass on our thanks to everyone who purchased your jewellery, as this gift really will help to change the lives of the children with whom we work.

Unless faulty, the following types of items are non-refundable: items that are personalised, bespoke or made-to-order to your specific requirements; items which deteriorate quickly (e.g. food), personal items sold with a hygiene seal (cosmetics, underwear) in instances where the seal is broken; digital items.

I first started making bookmarks using patterns from the wonderful beading tutorial supplier ‘ThreadABead’. I liked the size of their small bookmark patterns but wanted to try some designs of my own, and this is one of them. The colour scheme was suggested by a customer who asked why I never made bookmarks with white cats on them.
Please note that, as the beads are glass they will break if crushed, so should be kept away from small children and situations where this might happen.

Great communication, friendly and helpful too. The cuff bracelet is beautifully crafted and fits my wrist perfectly. It was very nicely wrapped and posted soon after buying. All in all another great Folksy experience.
