A stained glass landscape panel, featuring a vivid sun setting on the horizon, created in opaque art glass. Three different shades of green glass make up the landscape, which has a shimmering turquoise iridescent river flowing through it.
The panel was constructed using the centuries-old traditional leaded stained glass technique. The lead came is cut and shaped to fit each piece of glass, then soldered in place, and the whole piece cemented to provide strength, then finally black-leaded and polished.
The panel measures 12 x 17cm approx. It looks lovely displayed on a windowsill, and because it is made from opaque glass, the colours will really pop if placed in front of a light coloured wall.
Note: The lead frame is perfectly safe to handle, as long as it is not ingested, but please wash hands after handling.
