About this item
This is a handstitched book which I have bound using Coptic stitch and an orange waxed linen thread. This style of binding (Coptic) allows the pages to open completely flat. I have used a red leather effect paper for the covers The inside pages are 100% cotton rag. The pages are white but with a slightly creamy coloured cast. The pages have a deckled edge and, as with all handmade paper, there are slight variations from page to page.

I love paper and I love making things, so making handmade books is the natural progression. I enjoy trying out different book structures and Coptic is one of my favourites to make. I also enjoy using fabric, bookcloth and leather in my books.
