About this item
This wintry image of a North American wolf was ironically painted one springtime during a rare lull in work commitments. The photograph on which it is based was a much wider view that took in an expansive background, but I wanted to focus on the wolf. It was obviously a good choice because the original pastel painting sold quite quickly and it is now only available as a Giclee print. The artwork measures 20 x 28 cm in portrait format and features a white mount. The print was created for me by Richard C O Lovesey Fine Art Prints of Lincolnshire using Epson UltraChrome pigment inks and Epson Archival Matte paper. The Copyright © of this artwork remains with artist Mike Shayler of mikeshaylerpastels. This artwork may not be reproduced, either in whole or in part, without the prior written permission of the artist. All rights reserved. As with all my artwork, postage is free to UK addresses. I do not currently ship overseas.

You can cancel the order and get a refund from the maker within 14 days of receipt, provided the item has not been used. Faulty items can be returned within six months of payment being made.

Wolves are one of my favourite animals, along with birds of prey and big cats, and the fairly uniform wintry colours in the background of this painting meant that the focus would be on the animal and that expression.
