Roz Snowden’s book inspired me to make these pieces of exquisite bobbin lace and I’m sure a mahogany tea tray would look the part with a china tea-cup and saucer on one of my tray cloths, ready for afternoon tea. A lace collar could be part of a sewing room scene or a drawing room where the daughters of the house were practising their ‘gentle arts’ The last picture shows the lady of the house thinking “ I’ll just do a bit more “ when she should be writing Christmas Cards ! I’d learnt Bobbin Lace at night-school in regular size then found Roz Snowden’s book of Miniature Lace. The pins are tiny!
