Full description
A detailed Hamsa Hand incense holder
Size : 19cm x 13cm
The Hamsa Hand is a universal sign of protection, power, and strength that dates back to ancient Mesopotamia. Known as the Hand of Fatima in Islam and the Hand of Miriam in Judaism, it's believed to protect against the evil eye and all negative energies.
Handmade with a earthenware clay using the slab method. The detailed pattern is created by an Indian carved stamp. A hole to stand two incense sticks has been created using a sculpting too. It has been bisque fired in the kiln to 1000C and then gently sanded before applying a red iron-oxide wash. The iron-oxide has been applied with a brushed and then sponged off to enhance the appearance of the intricate design
Each order will include 6 incense sticks for the plate version.
Due to the handmade nature and natural materials each piece if unique with subtle variations in size, shape, and finish.
