This little picture was a bit of a 'labour of love'. It took three firings to get it right. A subtle quiet picture.

Full description

Unique and original: Handmade Fused Glass 'The Hares & The Moon' Picture.

Gallery price: £65.00, from the Maker: £52.00.

This picture started off as a sheet of transparent fusing glass. The hares' were then painted on using glassline powders. The colours were layered and then scraped through to bring out the individual colours and the texture of the hares' hair.

The eyes are little squares of metalic dichroic glass. The background is a subtle mix of blue and transparent glassline.

This little group of hares' took two kiln firings to achieve the result I wanted: subtly colourful, realistic, and textural.

Frame measures: 25.5cm x 25cm x 2.5cm.

Picture measures: 16.7cm x 16.7cm x 6mm.

Hook and stand on reverse to either hang on the wall or be displayed on a shelf.

Picture description and signature on revers of the picture. :)
