Beautiful and always busy Blue tits brighten up even the dullest days! Created on my trusty old Bernina each bird is free machine embroidered onto a layer of cotton, with appliqued details, and a layer of felt. Finally a brooch back is hand sewn in place. Each one is unique and has it's own little character. They measure around 6 cm long. Please note the current flock of goldfinches are facing the opposite way to the photo!

I love watching the birds in my garden and observing their different characters. I make lots of drawings as I'm watching and these often become the basis of new pieces of work.
