We all get a bit fed up towards the end of winter, waiting for spring to come, but it always does - and these days ever-more rapidly than before. Yet there are highlights: tiny winter aconites are pushing their yellow faces into the sun; the odd snowdrop puts up its shaft though its flowerhead remains tightly furled. There's a hint of green in the catkins in the trees, and a variety of grey-blues in the sky. It's this time of year and the anticipation it brings I'm trying to capture in this lightweight, toss around the neck-type scarf.
