Summer Stones - Pyrography Standing stones box

This small oblong wood chest has been hand burned using pyrography with an standing stones design, surrounded by a summery landscape and trees with budding leaves. It's the only one of it's kind. The design has been burned into the box using pyrography. I then stain and sand the box to give some character. The scene is then coloured with art pencil. UV protector is applied to the design, and the whole piece is protected with a clear lacquer. This is by no means a perfect box. I tend to rescue unloved pieces and upcycle them. Made and posted in the Staffordshire Moorlands, UK. -Wooden box, with some rustic tool markings. -Brass tone clasp. -Dimensions approx.: 9.5 x 17.5 x 5.5cm. -Brass tone hinges. -Stained, sanded and varnished. -Rubber bumpers to base. -Lined with felt. -More photos available if required. All my creations are my own design and composition. Each piece is unique. Please note, wood is a natural material and each piece has it's own knots and imperfections that make it beautiful. I seal the wood with varnish to help protect it, but it will weather overtime. To care for your piece; keep out of damp and direct sunlight. I post once a week, using my local post office.
