In the area where I stay, many Forest walks can easily be accessed.
These Woodlands provide support for many different animals, insects and bird species.
Like most of my art work, nature, animals and the landscape provide a constant source of inspiration.
This miniature sculpture, comes with its own story scroll,can be displayed on it's own, or in the special keepsake box.

Full description
This keepsake Hedgehog, has been hand modeled from earthenware clay.
After careful drying and a first kiln firing, under glaze colours and oxides are painted and layered on to enhance the texture of the body and facial features, before being dipped into a clear earthenware glaze an receiving a second kiln firing, giving the whole piece a glossy, tactile finish,
Each Hedgehog is similar, but unique due to slight variations between each one due to each one being individually hand modeled and painted, complete with its own story scroll held together with a pottery leaf.
These Hedgehogs measure approx 2.5 cm in height, length of approx 5.5 cm, width of 3 cm at it's widest point.
