A hidden gem of a place, where Chorlton Brook meanders and tinkles through the last remnant of ancient woodland associated with Hough End Hall. Now surrounded by Mauldeth Road West, Hough End Fields and the Hough End Centre (Greater Manchester Police Centre's stables and dog-kennels). Listed with the Woodland Trust (under 'Wuhan Wood'). Beautiful trees, including a stand of hornbeam and large poplars.
