Ripples of raspberry pink and white glass in a smooth and tactile glass pebble pendant with a matt finish, reminiscent of sea glass or a sea-smoothed pebble. The fused glass pendant has a silver plated bail and comes complete with an 18" silver plated snake chain and one of my smart signature gift boxes, ready to give as a gift. The box is fully recyclable with a recycled card insert (no plastic foam here!). DIMENSIONS: The pendant is 3.5cm (1.25") wide and 5cm (2") long including the silver plated bail. The stud earrings are 9mm diameter and have sterling silver fittings. I've always collected sea glass, and while shiny glossy glass is beautiful there is something special about the soft satin finish of sea glass. Imagine how pleased I was when I discovered that sandblasting and re-firing my fused glass gave it a similar look - but in any colour I wanted! I make the glass rounds by fusing a layer of transparent coloured glass over a different coloured layer of opaque glass in my kiln; then I sandblast them and fire in the kiln again to get the satin seaglass like finish. It is the layer of transparent glass and this satin finish that gives such a beautiful subtle glow quite different from the more usual 'shiny' appearance of glass.
