Natural Inks made from sustainable resources at Unearthed studio on the edge of Exmoor in North Devon. I collect Oak Galls in the Spring and Walnut husks in Autumn and generally mess around with ancient recipes, a good old mix up of, Art, Geology, Alchemy and History. I have been working on inks for 10 years from prep to preservation. These are good for writing and drawing and even staining wood.

I love the process of making art materials at home, the recipes for inks goes back to medieval times, and can be made with simple ingredients and processes to create beautiful rich inks that are made permanent by the addition of iron oxide, they are useful for drawing and writing.
