After finding the unique, site specific 'Bideford Black' at Greencliffs, Abbotsham on the North Devon coast, I researched other possible areas in my area. At Fremington Quay estuary I found several coloured clays, Light grey, slate grey, poor mans black and occasionally ochre's At Combe Martin, on the river Umber is a dark clay like sediment, Raw Umber. I'm looking into white now from China clay pits, but always looking on my walks.

Arrived today, look good, a present for a budding artist!
I bought this for an artist friend for their birthday and they were thrilled with it - this was the actual phrase they used. The item was beautifully packaged and packed with love. I think I will be back for more pigments at a later date. Thanks!
