My designs are usually symmetrical in shape so I wanted a more organic feel for this one. I therefore decided to draw inspiration from the free-form shapes found in nature.

This listing is for the PDF shuttle tatting pattern for my 'Rosa' rose bookmark
This is NOT the finished item.
Difficulty level: Intermediate
Instructions are for size 20 crochet / tatting thread. This pattern needs 1 tatting shuttle to make the finished piece.
Techniques used: rings, chains, joining picots, decorative picots, Continuous Thread Method, Lock Joins, downward joins (explained in the instructions), shoe lace trick.
The pdf file features detailed written instructions in English and both left and right handed diagrams complete with numbers of double stitches required (as shown in picture 5 of this listing). As there is a definite front side to this, the left handed finished piece will be the reverse of the right handed one (as you can see in picture 2).
