I have been inspired by my trips to Japan to create textile art using old kimono fabrics and Japanese papers. I have seen many folding screens in museums and in modern settings. I have been given miniature screens as gifts.

Full description

A freestanding screen made with Japanese kimono silk fabric and papers. Applique with free motion machine embroidery and then mounted on an MDF screen. It measures approximately 40 x 30 cm when open and standing. The back is lined with Japanese paper. The screen comes with a fabric pouch made from a silk kimono jacket sleeve.
