A quilted patchwork table runner featuring two hearts and a flower with heart shaped petals. Measures 12" x 33.5" (30.5cm x 85cm), ideal as a centre piece on a dining, kitchen or coffee table.

This table runner with its theme of hearts and flowers would make an ideal engagement, wedding or anniversary gift.

I've used two coordinating fabrics in shades of rose pink to make the heart and flower patchwork blocks. The background fabric is a light cream cotton with a subtle paisley print in a slightly darker shade of cream. The runner is backed with unbleached calico.

Inside the runner is a fine layer of Hobbs 80% cotton, 20% polyester wadding. I have quilted the three layers (patchwork, wadding and backing) using a contrasting dark pink thread and a cream colour thread. Quilting gives the runner extra texture.

Around the edge of the runner is binding made from the cream paisley fabric, carefully secured with invisible hand stitching.

All the fabrics are easy care and machine washable on a gentle cycle.
