All orders are sent via 1st Class Royal Mail standard service. For safety, my final postal date before Christmas is Wednesday 18th December.
Any orders placed after 18th December will not be guaranteed for delivery before Christmas.
Orders placed over the holiday period will be posted on my return to work on Monday 6th January 2025.
The postage costs applied reflect the protective packaging used to ensure your Utterly Pottery goodies arrive in tip top condition. Therefore, should you place an order rest assured, it will arrive beautifully wrapped and protected topped off with colourful tissue paper.
Where possible I reuse and recycle plastic bubble wrap as I find it offers the best protection for my handmade and handpainted ceramics.
I’m always happy to add a handwritten gift note if you’d like to send the order directly to the recipient. Please include the message as you check out.

The lockdown periods of 2020-2021 meant a lot more time spent at home. A slight obsession with house plants began as I tried to bring more of the natural world inside my home.
An observation of the colour and form of house plant leaves in combination with my love of geometrical patterns led to this new range of botanical designs.
You have 14 days, from receipt, to notify the seller if you wish to cancel your order or exchange an item.
Unless faulty, the following types of items are non-refundable: items that are personalised, bespoke or made-to-order to your specific requirements; items which deteriorate quickly (e.g. food), personal items sold with a hygiene seal (cosmetics, underwear) in instances where the seal is broken; digital items.
Please note that if your order is being posted outside mainland UK, you (or the recipient) may have to pay customs or VAT charges and a handling fee. The seller is not responsible for any charges or fees that may incur.
Full description
Individually hand painted in a geometric design, each plate represents a well loved house plant. A row of 3D coloured dots around the rim adds the final flourish. The botanical Latin plant name is handwritten around the edge as a nod to Darwin’s style of recording plants.
Each plate has been painted using a wide range of realistic green tones of underglaze before being dipped in a clear glossy transparent glaze and kiln fired. After firing the plates are both food and dishwasher safe.
Each plate is approximately 11.5cm in diameter.
Due to the hand painted nature of the design no two are ever the same
