About this item
A detailed study of a wild Hare, embroidered by hand and framed in oak. This textile piece was stitched with individual strands of embroidery thread onto a cotton background. The watchful eye is bright amber and there are gold thread whiskers glinting in the light. The Hare looks alert amongst the tall meadow grasses. The textile piece is just over 4x4cms and the frame, of narrow oak, is 14.5x14.5 cms. I took the photos in natural light without the glass for clarity, but I’m sure you know that screens vary. With the protective glass in place and a hook on the reverse, the picture is ready to frame. A lovely gift for a nature watcher or someone who’s keen on our wild Hares.

What is the magical draw of wild Hares? I’m not sure, I just love the sight of a Hare. I’ve been intrigued by them since I was a young child watching a Hare family in a secret grassy meadow. I had no idea how lucky I was at the time.

I loved this hare so much that I asked Sylvie to make me a polar bear for my son for Christmas and I was so pleased with that one too. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this seller for her friendly 'can do' attitude and lovely work.
