About this item
This is a handstitched book which I have bound using Coptic stitch and white lined thread. This style of binding allows the pages to open completely flat. I have used my own hand painted paper on the front and back covers. The inside pages are 140gsm cartridge paper. This book is A6 landscape (height 10.5cm by 15.5cm)

I love paper and I love making things, so making handmade books is the natural progression. I enjoy trying out different book structures and Coptic is one of my favourites to make. Last summer I had a lovely few days painting papers using a 'scrape' technique and now I’m using these papers for book covers. I also enjoy using fabric, bookcloth and leather in my books.
