Thanks so much for your support, Kate
Living in Sheffield although I love the Peak District I always crave time by the sea, particularly on the west coast. I refer to this glaze combination as my Tiree colours as it reminds me of happy family holidays on the beautiful beaches there.

Unique handmade pottery thrown on a potter's wheel.
This ceramic jug is made from stoneware which means it is very durable. The clay gives a biscuit speckled colour which contrasts with the glaze. I've applied 3 lead-free glazes. Clear gloss inside and then a mat creamy glaze and a turquoise blue. Where these glazes meet they interact to make an area of varied colours. There is added texture in this layer.
The jug is first thrown, the pouring lip is made, then left until it is leather hard, then turned and I add my makers mark. Once dry it is bisque fired then glazes are applied and it is fired again to 1220 oC. All glazes are lead free.
Height of jug about 14 cm
Diameter with handle about 15 cm
Capacity about 1000 ml
This listing is for 1 jug, all jugs are handmade and made in small batches there will be some variation in colour and shape making each piece wonderfully unique.
This listing is for 1 jug.
