Hello! Welcome to my Folksy Art Shop.
I am a UK based artist living in the West Midlands where I produce the original linocut prints and paintings. My work is inspired by all the lovely places I have travelled to and collected photo's and memories of over the years. Nature and landscape are 2 of my biggest inspirations.
I graduated from Birmingham Polytechnic in Graphic Design back in 1988 and have practised my art ever since. For a number of years I specialised in pen and ink drawings but over the past few years I have explored other media, and I'm always open to trying new materials and art forms.

Full description
This unique Christmas card features an original linocut print of a little fantasy of two snowpeople in a snowy lighthouse garden surrounded by a dark wintry sea. It has been entirely designed and handmade by myself at home.
I glued the linocut to a square of festive shiny gold card then fixed this to the front of the white greeting card. Inside I have left the card blank for you to add your own message.
The linocut has been hand printed using Schmincke Aqua Linoldruck Ink (water based) on handmade paper taken from a sketchbook. I have added some colourful accents to the print using Faber-Castell PITT Artist Pens. The white greeting card onto which the print has been mounted (using Pritt paper glue) is Ryman White Art Card (210gsm). The gold border is Ryman Gold Art Card (220gsm).
As the card is printed in water based ink it should be kept away from water or damp conditions as the pigment will run if wet.
I have initialled the card on the reverse and given it an edition number (23/100) as I do not intend to create more than 100 cards using original prints of this design.
The card size is approx. 14.5cm x 15cm, the artwork itself measures approx. 11.5cm x 11.5cm.
I will mail out the card in a cellophane packet, wrapped in tissue paper in a board backed envelope.
