About this item
This donkey measures 34mm, nose to tail, 30mm, hoof to ear-tips. It is mounted on a 26mm brooch bar, soldered to the copper base. The pin secures with a rotating catch. To make the donkey I built up layers of clear enamel on the copper base, firing each layer as I went. I then fired a layer of white enamel over the clear. In places. The copper base shows through the white giving a golden-brown, mottled effect, suggestive of the texture of the donkey's coat. To get photos showing the donkey flat from above I set it on a bar of staples, which is why it looks as if it has an air-cooled engine. Your donkey will be sent, boxed, by Royal Mail first class, signed for.
