Full description
A beautiful stained glass suncatcher featuring a pretty blue butterfly dancing over iridescent white daisies and green glass leaves.
To create this stained glass suncatcher the blue butterfly and irridescent white daisy petals were cut by hand first and smoothed before the detailing added with a black glass pen. The pieces were then fired to preserve the details and once cooled the copper foil was applied and a coating of solder added. Next the leaves were hand cut from a sheet of green stained glass and smoothed before the copper foil was attached and the initial coating of solder added and the leaf stems attached. The wire framework and wire spirals were twisted by hand and coiled to the correct sizes. The numerous pieces were then soldered together to create the suncatcher before the piece was washed and polished with a stained glass cleaner and polish to bring out the sparkle of the glass and silver coloured wire.
This stained glass butterfly and daisy suncatcher measures approximately 32.5cm or 13 inches from top to bottom and 20cmor 8 inches wide.
