The stag in Celtic mythology is a symbol of the forest, in some Irish and Scottish folklore they were seen as 'faery cattle' I can see why.
This leaping stag is straight from a fairy tale. He is hand and machine stitched and hand stained to give him an old primitive feel. He has wood antlers and a wool tail. He is embroidered with stars and a rusty tin star and little bells embellishes his proud neck. Running stitches on each leg meet a Victorian bone button taken from old Victorian work shirts. On the wooden pole is a wooden heart he stands on a little wooden stand. ( big log not included).
If your seeking something truly original and hand made with love this is definitely for you or someone you know.
