About this item
This large box is ideal for storing keepsakes or treasured items. I have made this box from high quality recycled mahogany using strong mitre joints and solid brass hinges and clasps. The top is decorated in a range of contrasting marquetry veneers to striking effect. (cherry, oak, walnut, zebrano, maple etc to name a few!) The inside base is lined with soft red baize and felt tabs underneath protect the surface it is stood on. I have used hard wearing polyurethane varnish and wax polish for the finish producing a silky smooth matt surface. If required I can make a partitioned tray for the box at extra cost. Please contact me with your requirements. Size : 35 (w) x 17 (d) x 11 (h) cms Weight : 950 gms

I wanted to make a larger than average box for storing a range of items. This allowed me to use a wide range of different woods for the top to show off their unique grain and beauty.
