I first created the starry, starry night sky, inspired by van Gogh and the North York Moors
I love sheep so they were added into the landscape.
I enjoy working with silks as they give texture to the piece as well as allowing me to place layer upon layer.
I use recycled silk scarves from my local charity shops.
I heavily embroider them but like to leave a few frayed edges to create texture and depth.

Full description
This wallhanging is an original design created by myself from layers of recycled silk scarves, creating a landscape with sheep grazing under a starry, starry night sky.
Inspired by North York Moors
The piece was then heavily free machine embroidered
The sheep, made from a wool blanket, were then added.
The piece is made on a canvas backing which was stretched onto an artists canvas, and is ready to hang.
