Full description

A handmade soft bound leather journal. Covered in tactile dark green leather and filled with 90 pages of lovely white paper interspersed with the odd page in a muted pastel colour (grey, stone, faded blue etc.).

This journal is the perfect size for slipping into a bag or pocket for sketching and notes on the move.

Stitched by hand in black linen thread.

This cover of this small journal measures 11cm by 9cm (3.5 x 4.5 inches), the pages inside are slightly smaller and are deckle edged.

This journal fastens with a long green leather strap which is fastened to the back cover, and wraps around the journal several times.

This journal has been bound using a technique called ‘long stitch’ which dates back to the medieval period. The stitching is visible on the spine, and this type of binding allows the book to open flat on any page.

All our leather journals are made with offcuts from the upholstery industry.
