A vintage image and vintage embroidery feature on this unusual handmade purse which has been made using a beige striped cotton fabric. The front of the purse was covered in vintage Nottingham lace and some satin lace at the top of the purse. The main feature is an appliquéd vintage image that was printed on fabric and an appliquéd piece of vintage embroidery. I have also stitched a selection of buttons, lace flowers and beads to add decoration. The back of the purse is plain. The purse has a white zip closure, a detachable metal chain for the handle and self fabric zip pull. It has been interfaced to give it structure, and the lining is a heavy weight calico fabric. This large pretty handmade purse is decorative. It has been made to a high standard and would make a lovely gift. Measurements: Top width is18 cm (7 ins) Bottom width is 21 cm (8.25 ins) Base is 4.5 cm (1.75 ins) Depth is 15.5 cm (6.25 ins) All sizes are approximate.
