Harris Tweed is what is says on the tin (or label) and is defined by law as having been "handwoven by the islanders at their homes in the Outer Hebrides, made from pure virgin wool dyed and spun in the Outer Hebrides".
Harris Tweed is more than a fabric, it is a way of life, a means for islanders to support themselves in a fragile economy and a connection to generations past, present and future.

This stylish wee purse is made from a stunning fuchsia, black and grey check Harris Tweed, lined in a deep purple batik fabric. It's only embellishment is the Harris Tweed label, as the tweed speaks for itself!
The bold colours and pattern are an eye-catching and attractive combination. Truly a modern twist on a classic fabric.
