A rather marvellous linen/cotton union lampshade featuring an original print from the Butterscotch & Beesting Circus.
This pattern is called Enter the Magician. Here's the little story that goes with it...
"The big top is almost dark. The audience is seated. Boys and girls hold on tight to sticky candyfloss sticks and fly-high balloons. A cloud appears above the high-wire. (Surely that wasn't there before?) As the cloud begins to flicker, strobes of light rain down, reaching the very edges of the tent to reveal a top-hatted magician standing by the ring. Enter Bumblewick Beesting, the most marvellous conjurer who ever lived (and rather dashing he is too). And so begins every show at the Butterscotch & Beesting Circus. A magical place as ever there was . . ."
