When I was small my dad made me some painted wooden people. I wanted to do something similar for my own children - and so my wooden folk were born.
The papier mache buildings are my newest addition and I think they make attractive gift boxes as well as decorations with the little wooden folk

These two little girls and their house would make a great addition to any little (or not so little) girl's bedroom shelf.
Both girls are 3cm high, wooden, and are painted with acrylics and finished with a coat of varnish.
Their house is approximately 10cm high, made from papier mache, decorated with pro-marker pens (showing 2 exterior and 2 interior scenes) and finished with a coat of varnish.
The roof lifts off providing a useful storage space for the wooden folk - or any other little treasures.
