About this item
Necklace in blues and silver featuring four small pieces of sea glass surrounded by tiny seed beads. Shading from deep blue down to silver the pendant part is richly beaded with rivers of seed beads, around the edge are small clear tear drop beads suspended from varying lengths of seed bead strands to create the waterfall effect. the necklace part is made from bead weaving on one side and twisted strands of beads on the other. The necklace is fastened by a half moon shaped bead which acts like a button with the button hole made from bead weaving. Some of the beads in the piece are vintage. A quirky and unusual piece which can look equally good with a T shirt or an evening dress.

I always use the inspiration of the materials first, so the pieces of glass that I choose, start the idea off, my surroundings on the beautiful North Devon coast influence my work a great deal, the local beach has a lot of little springs all over it so tiny waterfalls appear at low tide, tumbling down the rocks into clear pools, I'm always trying to capture the light on them with my camera, so this is my jewellery version.
