Full description
Handcrafted using different types of stained glass in 3 different shades of amber this beautiful new abstract patchwork suncatcher will look stunning hanging in a window in your home. Unfortunately is was snowing when the photo was taken you I am unable to show the sun shining through this piece. The amber coloured glass can be seen in sunny weather on other listings in my shop and it looks beautiful.
Not only would this piece make a lovely treat for yourself but it would also make a lovely gift for a friend of loved one for any occasion.
The glass for this lovely stained glass suncatcher was hand cut, each piece carefully cut to fit the pieces next to it and then copper foil was applied before the piece was soldered together. It was washed and cleaned before a black patina was applied to darken the solder before a final clean. Each one of these abstract patchwork suncatchers will be different as I cut the pieces without using a pattern, making each one unique.
This amber stained glass suncatcher measures about 30cm or 12 inches long and 6cm or 2.5 inches across.
