The idea for this design comes from the Art Deco style where the sunrise/sunset motif is used widely. I think this translates well to wood and exploits the natural contrast and colour of the veneers. I think the birds add a little atmosphere and realism to the design.

This Letter Rack is the ideal way to store all your bills, letters, postcards and memos.
It is made from recycled mahogany and features a unique marquetry design on the face.
Multiple coats of shellac and a final wax polish are used to create a smooth flat surface with a semi-matt finish.
Soft felt pads on the base will protect any polished surfaces.
