Description

Yerba mate is the national drink of Argentina, Paraguay, Uruguay, and Southern Brazil where it is consumed 6 to 1 over coffee. Yerba Mate has the "strength of coffee, the health benefits of tea, and the euphoria of chocolate" all in one beverage. Of the six commonly used stimulants in the world: coffee, tea, kola nut, cocoa and guarana, yerba mate triumphs as the most balanced, delivering both energy and nutrition. This gourd, or calabash, was wheelthrown by me using strong off white stoneware clay, and finished in a combination of two sky blue reactive glazes. Height....9cm. Width....7.5cm. Weight ....350g. Volume....500mls. Foodsafe glazes....dishwasher, oven and microwave safe. This listing includes a free bombilla, or masassa, drinking straw. I am happy to post anywhere. And I offer a shipping discount for 2 or more items, applied at checkout. Thanks for looking. Please check out my other listed items.....

lovely mug, my husband wanted a large mug for his coffee and was delighted with the size and the fact it could go in the dishwasher as well as microwave.

Plate is lovely, understated and rustic. lovely for mashing garlic etc and depth makes it great for making garlic based dips. Loved the garlic clove shaped texture for mashing against. Packaging was appropriate and Royal Mail delivery was fast.
