A small handmade soft bound leather journal, covered in soft brown leather and filled with 80 pages of lovely white paper – perfect for sketching or writing.
The inside cover features a 1940s Ordnance Survey map of the area around Egham in Surrey.
Stitched by hand in black linen thread, with a small hole cut in the spine so the pages inside are visible.
This cover of this small journal measures 9.5cm by 8.5cm, the pages inside are slightly smaller and are deckle edged.
This journal has been bound using a technique called ‘long stitch’ which dates back to the medieval period. The stitching is visible on the spine, and this type of binding allows the book to open flat on any page.
All our leather journals are made with offcuts from the upholstery industry.
