Seagulls aren't usually my favourite creatures, but, living by the sea as I do, you can't avoid them! This guy, however, is much more friendly than the ones you find on Brighton seafront. Like all my other new brooches, this one is made from shrink plastic; I can't tell you how much fun it is to put a larger version of your design in the oven and watch it curl and shrink down, down, down! This particular brooch measures approximately 55mm x 52mm and is finished with a light coating of varnish, and a 20mm brooch pin (with safety catch) securely glued to the underside. Each brooch comes mounted on a card and in a stripy paper bag, ready for giving, or just for treating yourself. Please note, due to the nature and charm of the plastic used, there may be slight variations in the size and colour of each brooch.
