So, what do you buy someone who has everything, or, in my wife’s case, loves something personal and thoughtful, whilst not breaking the bank?
She is always telling me that I’m not great with words – well at least that I never “tell her stuff that she likes to hear”. Well I’ll show her I thought. I’ve always been one for jotting down little ideas in my notebook as and when I think of them. I started observing all the things that she loves that she’s always talked about! I then used my love of typography to reproduce all my observations into a rather unique print that I gave to her one Christmas. She did indeed love it and upto20words became a husband and wife team.
Rachel now enjoys designing the posters and we have produced similar personalised posters for Mother’s day, wedding gifts, birthdays, anniversary’s to name but a few.
We then decided that some people prefer to buy a gift that you can ‘pick off the shelf’ but which is still personal about a place or a popular hobby. It was easy to come up with things that we love about our favourite places and hobbies. We are now producing a range of posters about places, hobbies, and a range of subject matters that appeal to all audiences.
