I started my crochet journey several years ago now but quickly realised that I really enjoy working with gradient yarns which give a lovely ombre effect. I'm usually inspired by the colours around me, in particular the colours in the garden and the countryside. When I'm out and abut I am always looking for colour combination ideas, sometimes in the most bizarre places! Most of my pieces are created in the evening in front of the tv, but if I can grab a few minutes of crochet in during the day I most definitely will. I ALWAYS take some crochet on holiday with me too. I'm just not very good at sitting and doing nothing.
When my husband finished work, I took over the study and filled it with all sorts of yarns, crochet hooks etc. (that went down very well...hehe). I have a huge yarn stash to work from and keep saying I must use what I have before buying any more....waste of time as I can't resist a good yarn shop.
