Hello, my name is Jody and I’m the person behind LouLou Art.

I make greeting cards, bookmarks and small gifts from my home studio in Bedfordshire, UK. A lot of what I create is inspired by the animals I live with — three cats, two guinea pigs, two chinchillas and a tank full of fish — as well as the countryside around me.

Cats and guinea pigs appear in many of my designs, along with bits of nature and everyday animal antics. I like making things that feel playful and a little bit characterful rather than overly polished.

I studied art and graphic design at college and university, and later worked as a graphic designer for two design studios. LouLou Art is where I get to combine that design background with my love of animals and handmade things.

Alongside illustrated cards and prints, I also make textured bookmarks using 3D printing. These are designed by me and printed in my studio, which gives them a subtle raised texture you can see and feel.

Everything in my shop is designed and made by me in small batches.
